Our Story

About BeASuperhero

A nonprofit born from a father-son book that grew into a nationwide movement to teach children life-saving stroke education.

How It Started

A Simple Idea That Changed Everything

BeASuperhero began with a straightforward concept: if children could recognize the signs of a stroke, they could save a life. Dr. Rajiv Narula, Founder & CEO of Sevaro Health and a leader in stroke medicine, co-authored a children's book alongside his 5-year-old son, Ayan.

The book focused on teaching children the BEFAST method, a gold-standard acronym for identifying stroke symptoms, in a way that was age-appropriate, engaging, and memorable.

What started as sharing printed copies in local schools has expanded into a broader campaign emphasizing prevention, awareness, and youth leadership across the country.

What Drives Us

Our Core Values

Everything we do is guided by a commitment to education, empowerment, and community.

Education First

We believe knowledge saves lives. Every child who learns BEFAST becomes a potential first responder, and that's a gift that lasts a lifetime.

Youth Empowerment

Children are more capable than we give them credit for. We treat them as true heroes, able to recognize danger and take action when it matters most.

Community Impact

We build partnerships and grow grassroots networks because real change happens when communities come together around a shared mission.
